Checking In
Read the dialogue between John and the hospital staff.
Receptionist: Good morning. Do you have an appointment?
Patient (John): Yes, I do. My name is John. I'm here to see the doctor.
Receptionist: Great. May I see your insurance card, please?
Patient (John): Here you go.
Receptionist: Thank you. Please have a seat in the waiting area. The nurse will call you shortly.
Doctor: Hello John. What seem to be your symptoms today?
Patient (John): I have a terrible headache, a cough, and a fever.
Doctor: I see. Let's do a quick examination to figure out the diagnosis.
Doctor: It looks like a mild case of the flu. I will write you a prescription. You can pick up your medicine at the pharmacy downstairs.
Patient (John): Thank you, Doctor. Do I need any further treatment?
Doctor: Just rest and drink plenty of fluids. If it gets worse, go directly to the emergency room.
